She eagerly anticipated the annual family vacation in the Adirondacks where she could often be found sitting at the end of the dock tending to a fishing line. She loved to crochet and many of her afghans found homes throughout the family over the years.

  1. Ann and I are so sorry to Bob and his family for their loss of Nan. She was the epitome of someone who was dedicated, compassionate, and exuded class to each of us who knew her. I first met Nan at EJD when she was a secretary who served many years in that capacity. Her forthright, honest approach to assisting our students and staff made us all better people. Our daughter Meredith looked up to her, and set a great example for each student at EJD. I always enjoyed her smile and welcoming manner whenever I visited the EJD office. One of Phoenix’s Finest, for sure…Michael & Ann Maroun Wake Forest, NC

  2. Rick, Robert and Jarvis family,
It was a privilege to share so many fond memories with your mother and father over the years. Two of the nicest people ever. Gail and I were warmly welcomed and assisted by them when relocating to CNY in 1982. We will always feel grateful that they were a part of our lives. Thinking of you with deepest sympathy during this difficult time.

    Wishing you our best,
    Doug and Gail Stay
