Esther Mae Sweet

Esther Mae Sweet, 85, of Phoenix, NY,
passed away on Wednesday October
31, 2018 at Loretto Fahey Care Ctr.,
Syracuse, during a brief stay. She was
born to her late parents, Adella (Wickert)
and Samuel Wright on Jan. 21, 1933 in
Syracuse, NY. A graduate of Liverpool
High School. She had attended St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church, Liverpool, in the past.
Esther was a member of the Order of the
Eastern Star Chapter 172 Phoenix, NY.
She also loved to sit and play her piano
in her home.
Esther was predeceased by her loving
husband of 62 years, Kenneth W. Sweet,
Sr. on June 5, 2018; also her three sisters
and two brothers were predeceased.
Surviving are her childdren, Kenneth W.
(Donna) Sweet, Jr., Caleb B. Sweet,
Samuel W. Sweet, and Ella Mae Sweet;
on grandson Ryan David Isabell; one sister
Dorothy Reiffenstein; nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday November
7, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Allanson-
Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main
St., Phoenix, NY. At 7 p.m. there will be a
short service presented by the Order of
the Eastern members. Burial in Phoenix
Rural Cemetery at the convenience of
the family.

Helen L. Billings

Helen L. Billings, 86, of Oswego, NY, passed away at
Oswego Hospital on Sunday October 28, 2018. She was
born in Cortland, NY on March 25, 1932 to her late parents,
Gladys (Hall) and Floyd Chapman.

Helen was employed by the General Electric Co., Syracuse.
A former Phoenix, NY resident, she was of the Methodist
Faith.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Harold Billings in
1984; her son Harold H. Billings in 1951; and her siblings.

Surviving are her children Cynthia Davis of NY, Jo Ann
Healey of NC, Susan Rock of NY, Penny McRae of NY and
Edward Billings of NY; fourteen grandchildren; many great-
grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours and viewing will be on Thursday November 1,
from noon until 2 p.m. at the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan
Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY. The funeral
service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jeff Hodge officiating.

Eventual cremation burial will be in Upper Lisle Cemetery,
located on NY 26, north of Whitney Point, NY Broome County

Frank K. Whorral

Frank K. Whorrall, 74, of Phoenix, NY, passed away at
Oswego Hospital on Monday Oct. 15, 2018. He was born
in Phoenix, NY to his late parents, Agatha (Mills) and Lyle
W. Whorrall, Sr. on April 26, 1944. A graduate of the
J. C. Birdlebough High School, Phoenix.
Frank was a roofer with the Roofers Local # 195, Liverpool,
NY. He was an avid fisherman.
Besides his parents, Lyle Sr. in 1989, and Agatha in 2000,
he was also predeceased by his sister Judy E. Sauers in 2016.
Surviving are his sibliings, Ann Zahn, Marie Sutor, Lyle W.
Whorrall, Jr., Linda Richardson, Mike Whorrall, Martha
Bourlier, and Jack Whorrall; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services only are on Friday October 19, 2018
at 1 p.m. in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St.,
Phoenix, N. Y. 13135, with Deacon Frank Forish officiating
the services.

Susan G. Young

Susan G. Young, 51, passed away on Monday
October 8, 2018 in Riverside, CA. Born to her
late father, Roy J. Young, Jr. and her late mother, Berdina Young on December 8, 1966.

She is survived by her sister Julie Weller (Leslie); brothers Roy J. Young, III, and Robert J. Young (Kristine) and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was
also predeceased by her brothers John F. Greene, Wade “Buster” Greene and William R. Greene.

Susan passed away from dementia. There are no services planned.
